The finished piece in place.
The sensors magnetic. Because there was only 1 available EZIO card for this project, there are only 16 sensors - 2 attached to each node on the EZIO.
The interior space. The photo shows all the equipment necessary to run the installation (minus the EZIO board, sensors, rocks, and magnets). To sum it all up - computer, mouse, keyboard, monitor, speakers with external volume control, extra fan for cooling, and a power strip.
The
magical EZIO interface card. The card interacts with Macromedia Director. The scripts inside the Director projector control the sounds which play as the sensors are activated by magnets hidden inside the rocks.
